Ruben Amiron has recorded his first home loss as Manchester United head coach. This happened after Nottingham Forest capitalised on Manchester United’s defensive blunders to score. The victory means it is their first win at Old Trafford in almost 30 years.
The visitors were the first to find the back of the net after Nikola Milenkovic’s opener but Rasmus Hojlund replied the goal almost immediately. United however failed to get back level for a second time after they conceded twice in seven minutes at the start of the second half.
After Forest scored the second goal it was not long before Chris Wood whose birthday is today found the net to make it 3-1. Bruno Fernandes however pull one through but they could not stop Forest as the ended 3-2 in favour of the visitors.
Manchester United have now suffered a successive Premier League defeats for the second time this season. They lost 2-0 away to Arsenal and now to Nottingham Forest. Ruben Amorim has won only one of his four league games in charge as his side remain 13th in the league table.
Their 19 points from 15 games is the club’s lowest tally at this stage of a season since 1986-87. Forest, in contrast, are up to fifth place on the tabele.
