Swansea City AFC is reportedly set to announce its newest high-profile investor: none other than American rap icon, entrepreneur, and cultural legend Snoop Dogg.
Known for his laid-back style, chart-topping hits, and savvy business moves, Snoop is joining the club’s ownership group, bringing global flair — and over 190 million social media followers — to the Welsh football side.

This marks the second major investor to jump on board since April, when Croatian football legend Luka Modrić joined the U.S.-based consortium led by entrepreneurs and controlling shareholders Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen.
While official club confirmation is pending, fans and social media are already in full celebration (and meme) mode. Some football lovers and longtime Snoop fans have responded with hilarious content — including clips of players “smoking” before walking onto the pitch, or stadiums billowing with smoke after matchdays, in playful reference to the rapper’s famously chill lifestyle.
Others have taken a more serious tone, applauding the rapper’s growing business empire and calling the move another brilliant step in his journey toward billionaire status.
Born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., Snoop Dogg rose to fame in the early 1990s with hits like Gin and Juice, Drop It Like It’s Hot, and Beautiful. In recent years, he’s expanded his empire to include cannabis brands, tech investments, NFTs, sports commentary, and now, football ownership.
His addition to the Swans’ ownership team is expected to bring massive global attention, especially among younger fans and entertainment lovers worldwide.
With Modrić’s experience, Cravatt and Cohen’s business acumen, and Snoop’s unmatched cultural reach, Swansea City might just become the coolest club in football.
