Popular Nigerian streamer, Peller, has stirred controversy online after boldly declaring that meeting Afrobeats superstar Wizkid would be a life-changing achievement for him.
Peller, who recently acquired a multimillion-naira mansion, made the statement during a broadcast while reflecting on his past live session with Davido.
He clarified that the session with Davido did not qualify as a “proper collaboration” in his books since it was hosted on YouTube, rather than TikTok — which he regards as his main platform.
In his words:
“If I meet Wizkid like this, I swear to Almighty God, I don big for life. Guys, you know say that streaming wey me and Davido do no be streaming o. The original streaming na here. Na you people push me go YouTube say make I go dey stream for YouTube. Una say make I no dey stream for TikTok, una say na YouTube be original streaming I con go YouTube go dey stream…”
The comments have since divided fans online, with many accusing him of disrespecting Davido while others defended his clarification about platforms.
One user, @ehmeeisaac, criticized Peller, writing: “Lol, streaming with Davido no be streaming? This boy is getting very disrespectful.”
But another, @BallWizardry, defended him, saying: “He meant that the app he used in streaming with Davido is not what he should have used.”
Meanwhile, @tobathenurse weighed in with a dig at Davido himself: “Na Davido de cause all these disrespect to himself. Some certain people dey wey you no suppose associate with as an A-list artist.”
Peller, who is becoming one of the biggest streamer in Africa has already hosted top celebrities such as Davido, Tiwa Savage, DJ Tunez, Cubana Chief Priest, Okoya sons, and so on. His shout-out to Wizkid has been turned on deaf ears for now.
