The Super Falcons of Nigeria started the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on an impressive note after beating Tunisia 3-0. Goals from Asisat Oshoala, Omorinsola Babajide and substitute Chiwendu Ihezuo guided Nigeria to their first win.
Oshoala opened the scoring from Omorinsola Babajide pass in the first four minutes of the game. Omorinsola Babajide doubled the advantage on the stroke of half time. Her goal was nice but her celebration stole the show as she dedicated the goal to Liverpool and Portuguese star Diogo Jota who died few days ago.

Substitute Chiwendu Ihezuo netted the third six minutes before the end if the game as the game ended 3-0. The celebration of Omorinsola Babajide is one which many football lovers has appreciated to show support and respect for the fallen Liverpool star.
Speaking about the win the Super Falcons head coach Madugu said: “It always feels good each time you set out to go out for a game. The ultimate goal for you is to win. And the fact that the team won, obviously, it is only natural that we are happy that the team won.”
He also said: “Well, every player that is here is equally of great importance. For us, they all are our players and we try as much as possible to promote team harmony and make everybody feel relevant in the team and nobody feels more important than the other.”
