North London top side and Europa League defending champions Tottenham has parted ways with their head coach Ange Postecoglou. The manager was sacked just 16 days after leading them to its first trophy victory 17 years.
Spurs beat Manchester United 1-0 win in Bilbao to left their first major trophy for 17 years. However, it came towards the end of their worst Premier League season. Tottenham finished 17th in the league table after losing 22 of their 38 matches.

The Australian had told fans “season three is better than season two” as they gathered at a victory parade to mark European success in his second campaign. So sad he will not be there to enjoy the season three with the club. Ange’s time in north London ended two years to the day after Spurs announced he would join them from Celtic.
According to Spurs, they said Postecoglou would be remembered for delivering “one of the club’s greatest moments” in becoming only the third manager in their history to win a European trophy. They also added that they could not base their decision on “emotions aligned to this triumph” and felt a change was necessary after a “review of performances.”
