Vinicius Junior Scores three as Madrid Return to Winning Ways
Real lost two matches straight for the first time in a long while. They lost to Barca in El Classico before losing to AC Milan. This victory means such to the defending champions of La liga as they were nine points adrift rival Barcelona.
This now means that they are now back to winning ways. The Brazilian forward opened the scoring when he cut in from the left and slotted past Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera into the far corner.
England star Jude Bellingham scored his first goal of the season to make it 2:0 after he latched on to Asencio’s super long ball from defence to dink over Herrera.
Vinicius found the net again to make it 3:0, substitute Brahim Diaz stole the ball off Enzo Boyomo and slide it across to Vinicius who finished with ease for his hat-trick. Despite the emphatic win, Real Madrid injury problems continued to mount as Rodrygo went off injured after 20 minutes and Lucas Vazquez could not continue after the break.
Eder Militao appeared to have suffered a serious knee injury in the win as well. The Brazilian centre-back went down screaming in agony after he seemingly jarred his right knee at a corner and was carried off the pitch on a stretcher with half an hour played, as 21-year old Raul Asencio replaced him for his Real debut.
Right-back Dani Carvajal suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury last month, while centre-back David Alaba remains out with a knee injury. The result means second-placed Real Madrid are now six points behind leaders Barcelona.
