Super Eagles’ head coach Éric Sékou Chelle has finally dropped the names of the 23 players that will be representing Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers. Among the list new names both from Europe and Nigeria. Standing in the goalpost is Stanley Nwabali and Kayode Bankole also was named.
The match is a must win for the Super Eagles of Nigeria as are yet to register their win in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. They will play Rwanda and then later host Zimbabwe. Nigeria will play Group C leaders Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, 21st March before taking on Zimbabwe.
Czech Republic-based defender Igoh Ogbu makes the final cut, alongside home-based midfielder Papa Daniel Mustapha, and Belgium-based forward Tolu Arokodare.
