Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has stirred reactions with his glowing endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, lauding the improvements in electricity and security across the country.
In a recent Instagram post, Edochie claimed that many states in Nigeria now experience up to 22 hours of electricity daily, attributing this to Tinubu’s policies. “Many states in Nigeria now enjoy 22 hours per day of steady power supply.
Terrorist attacks have reduced drastically, all courtesy of the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Jagaban. The master strategist. The silent achiever. So much more to come. Jagaban will fix it all,” he wrote.
Edochie also praised the administration’s handling of security, suggesting that terrorist activities have significantly diminished. The actor’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online.
While some users lauded his optimism and expressed hope for Nigeria’s future, others criticized him for what they perceived as exaggerated claims. Comments ranged from praise for his patriotism to accusations of seeking favor from the government.
One commenter wrote, “Even Abuja no get, Yul, I no dey join mouth for your matter but stop provoking me before Chukwu akpọ gị ọkụ there,” reflecting skepticism about his claims of nationwide power improvements.
Another added, “All this lies just to gain favor from the president, shame supposed dey catch you I swear.”
Despite the divided opinions, Edochie’s post has amplified conversations about the current state of power supply and security in Nigeria.
