Nigeria’s music scene is buzzing with fresh releases that are dominating playlists—here are five standouts tearing up the charts right now:
1. Shoday – “Kilode”
Shoday’s newest drop, “Kilode”has been enjoying massive airplay since it’s release this week. The new song is coming after the success of Shoday in earlier released and featured songs such as “Purr” ft. Ayo Maff and “High Fashion” featured by Rahman Jago and Pocolee.
The artistes sonorous signature sound will keep you vibing in this new release.
2. Rema – “Kelebu”
Superstar Rema returns with “Kelebu”, his third single of 2025, following “Baby (Is It a Crime)” and “Bout U.”
The song infuses pan-African sounds—think Coupé Décalé meets Bongo Flava and Soukous—creating an electrifying, horn-driven dance anthem. Rema says it takes him back to dancing at school parties to foreign songs, driven purely by rhythm.
3. Asake – “Badman Gangsta” (feat. Tiakola)

5. Ayra Starr – “Hot Body”
Ayra Starr heats things up with “Hot Body”, released mid-2025 as her third single of the year. This dancehall-tinged, Afropop-fueled track is sultry and flirty, serving as a perfect anthem for late nights and the season’s steamy vibes.
Produced by Ragee and The Elements, the song pairs a hypnotic groove with body-positive, romantic swagger. It has got American female rapper, Cardi B also vibing to it.
