Big Brother Naija “Level Up” winner, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has fired back at Dangote Group following the company’s public statement on the recent accident involving her sister.
Earlier this week, Phyna accused billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote and his conglomerate of mishandling the aftermath of a crash involving one of the company’s trucks and her sister.
According to Phyna, the truck collided with her sister, and police allegedly removed its plate number on Dangote Group’s orders.
In an emotional post, she warned: “He may have money, but he isn’t God. I will make sure justice is served.”
In response, Dangote Group issued a statement pledging its “unwavering commitment” to the victim’s recovery. The company promised full medical care and “appropriate compensation” while extending wishes for her sister’s quick recovery.

Phyna, however, was unimpressed. She described the tone of the statement as “ironic” in light of the seriousness of her sister’s injuries, revealing that her sister had already undergone a leg amputation.
“Appropriate compensation? Quick recovery from an already amputated leg? What necessary speed are you taking right now? Let’s not forget the bike man, who is also in critical condition,” she wrote.
The reality TV star’s response has stirred renewed public attention to the incident, with many Nigerians weighing in on social media. Critics have questioned corporate accountability in road accidents involving large companies, while supporters of Phyna have called for swifter action from Dangote Group.
The company has yet to release further details on the specific form of compensation or timeline for assistance. Meanwhile, the condition of the bike rider injured in the crash remains critical.
As public pressure mounts, all eyes are on both parties to see how the case unfolds — and whether Phyna’s determination to fight for justice will lead to legal action.
