Nuno Espírito Santo’s Nottingham Forest boost up their hope as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the Monday night football. The game had Super Eagles of Nigeria star Taiwo Awoniyi return to action for his side as they beat Tottenham Hotspur. Taiwo Awoniyi had been out since early April after suffering a hamstring injury.
The former Union Berlin and Liverpool player returned to the pitch after replacing Chris Wood in the 75th minute.
Before he came in, his side was already leading but his return is a boost to their Champions League qualification spot.

The victory for Nuno Espírito against Spurs boost Forest’s hopes of UEFA Champions League qualification as they maintain third position on 60 points in the league table. For the North London side Tottenham Hotspurs, they are currently in 16th spot on 37 points in the league standing.
This Champions League return is a massive one for Nottingham Forest because they have been away from European tournament for long.
