England international Mason Mount inspired Manchester United to a remarkable come back. The former Chelsea man ended 20 months of torment with a brilliant second half double as Manchester United booked an all-English Europa League final with Tottenham.
United entered the game with a 3-0 advantage following their victory from the first leg. Bilbao came into the game looking fly as they were all blazing. On an anxious, nervy, mistake-ridden night at Old Trafford, fingernails were starting to get chewed at the sight of the home side making it so hard for themselves despite starting the second-leg of their semi-final with Athletic Bilbao holding a three-goal advantage.

The Spanish visitors opened the scoring in the first half thanks to Mikel Jauregizar’s magnificent 30-yard effort. They went into the first half break with a 1-0 lead. Man United resumed the second half and introduced fresh legs which Mason Mount was one of the players.
Mount who has had succession of injuries which has limited his league games to just 10 starts since his £55m move from Chelsea. He had only been on the pitch 10 minutes when he turned onto Leny Yoro’s short pass inside the Bilbao penalty area. But Mount chose exactly the right time to step up.
United soon completed the come back when Casemiro lashed unto Bruno Fernendes’ freekick to make it 2-1. Højlund soon made it three before Mason scored the fourth. Manchester United will now play Tottenham who beat Bodo 2-0 and 5-1 on aggregate. Injury has followed injury and frustration has piled on frustration.
