Chelsea continued their impressive form as they edged closer to the Europa Conference League knockout stage. The English Premier League side beat German Bundesliga side Heidenheim in Germany 2-0.

France forward Christopher Nkunku scored the opener to make it his fifth goal in the group stage. Enzo Maresca’s side on their way to a fourth win in four games to stay top of the 36-team table.
The former Leipzig forward controlled Jadon Sancho’s pass into the box with one touch before burying the ball in the back of the net with his second. Nkunku has scored in every group phase game, and he has 11 eleven goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
Chelsea keeper Filip Jorgensen did well with some fine saves to ensure the Blues got the job done. Mykhailo Mudryk later scored the second deep into the second to give Chelsea a comfortable 2-0 away win. Chelsea is looking now to be the next Premier League side to win the Conference after West Ham United.
