Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has set social media buzzing after his glowing remarks at the private wedding of Afrobeats star Mr Eazi and fashion entrepreneur Temi Otedola.
The billionaire industrialist, who served as chairman of the day, spared no words in praising the couple and their remarkable love story.
The glamorous wedding, which took place in Iceland, was attended by a close circle of family and friends. During his speech, Dangote described the ceremony as the best he had witnessed this year—despite attending the wedding of Davido and Chioma recently in the United States.

Dangote went on to highlight Mr Eazi’s uniqueness among entertainers, commending his entrepreneurial spirit. According to him, Eazi—whose real name is Tosin Ajibade—is not just an artiste but a visionary businessman with investments in 18 African countries.
“He looks cool, but he is strong and loyal,” Dangote said, stressing that Eazi’s determination and innovative drive make him stand out in the entertainment industry.
The billionaire further noted that with Mr Eazi and Temi—herself an entrepreneur and daughter of oil mogul Femi Otedola—the next generation of business-minded leaders is already in place.
He jokingly suggested that he and his fellow business titan Otedola could now “take a backseat,” knowing the younger couple is fully equipped to carry on the legacy of innovation and leadership.
Dressed sharply in a black suit with a bow tie, Dangote repeatedly referenced his close bond with Femi Otedola, appreciating him for making the wedding possible.
He also expressed excitement about celebrating future milestones with the couple, hinting humorously that he’d be ready to join them for a baby dedication—whether in London, Iceland, Greenland, or even Miami.
The heartfelt speech, laced with humor and wisdom, earned nods of approval from the select guests and has since gone viral online, with many praising Dangote’s genuine admiration for the couple.
