Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has revealed that Mohamed Salah his Egyptian star has no plan to leave. This comes after many media outlets says both Salah and Van Dijk could be leaving Anfield at the end of the season. They revealed that the two players are likely to move to the Saudi Arabian Pro League, but the manager has made it clear that Salah is not leaving the club any time soon.
No Van Dijk or Salah Departure, Arne Slot Confirms
The Dutch tactician said that a few of Salah’s comments have been misinterpreted by media and noted that he has no intention of leaving the club. The manager said: “Then I should have spoken to him about what he said if that was a reference—or yes, or no.
But I haven’t spoken about him; we’ve spoken about Leverkusen because that team deserves all of our attention for the quality they have.” He also said: “So, no. He is out of contract at the end of the season, and Virgil (van Dijk) said something in the press, and now he (Salah) has a post that you interpreted in a certain way.”
“This will probably continue for as long as their futures are not clear yet. But in the meantime, let’s hope that they bring in performances like Mo had and Virgil had as well during the weekend.”
It is now almost certain that the two players will be at Anfield next season even though we are we are yet to hear from the players.
Liverpool is currently topping the English Premier League table as they have only loss one game in their ten league games. Mohamed Salah scored a beautiful curley to ensure a massive comeback in their last game as they won 2-1 against Southampton.
