Jamie Foxx uses humor to reflect on his personal life in his new Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, which premiered on December 10.
The show began with the 56-year-old actor addressing his health scare, revealing he suffered a stroke caused by a brain bleed that left him with memory loss for 20 days.
Foxx also dismissed speculation that his condition was linked to controversial figures, including Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The special concludes on a lighter note, with Foxx at the piano performing a comedic song that playfully addresses his dating preferences.
In the performance, Foxx declared: “Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured. I’ve been cured of everything—no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls. No more white girls. No more. No more white girls.”
As the audience responded with cheers and applause, he continued: “I’m back on the Black side of town! No more white girls. No more potato salad and raisins. No more white girls. No more spray tan, no more big [breasts] no [butt], no more white girls.”
Foxx’s love life has been in the public eye for decades. His relationships include Connie Kline, with whom he shares his eldest daughter, Corinne, born in 1994.
He was also linked to Haitian actress Garcelle Beauvais from 1996 to 2001, actress Leila Arcieri in 2005, and Kristin Grannis, the mother of his second daughter, Annalise. Between 2013 and 2019, Foxx dated actress Katie Holmes in a high-profile relationship.
