10-Man Manchester United Knock Arsenal Out of FA Cup

Manchester United knocked Arsenal out of the 2025 FA Cup and advance into the fourth round. The Manchester club was reduced to 10 men in the beginning of the second half. Diogo Dalot was shown a second yellow card, after he mistimed a tackle on Mikel Merino.

Before the red card, Manchester United were leading 1-0. United skipper Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in the 52nd minute of the game.

Dalot was sent off in the 61st minute of the game, Arsenal took advantage of the red card. Arsenal leveled the scores just two minutes later when centre-back Gabriel volleyed in from inside the area.

The host had the chance to grab the lead when Kai Havertz was brought down by Harry Maguire in the penalty box. Referee Andrew Madley awarded a penalty and the skipper Odegaard stepped up to the penalty.

Just when Arsenal thought they will take the lead united skipper Altay Bayindir saved the ball. Mikel Arteta’s side had big chances through Declan Rice and Havertz again to win the game but could not beat the impressive Bayindir.

Manchester United were made to defend throughout extra time but their joy came after the penalty shootout. Kai Havertz stepped up to play the penalty after Bruno Fernandes and Odegaard had both scored.

United went on to score all their five penalties and won the game 5-3. The result means Arsenal have exited the FA Cup in the third round for the third time in four seasons. It is gathered that United will face Leicester City in the Fourth round of the FA Cup.
